In 2023, a major milestone was achieved with the construction of the Francisca Library, a large library building made possible through generous community support. Two-thirds of the funding was provided by the Kemal Foundation, a DC-based organization affiliated with The Saloon on U Street. The project was led by coordinator Habibu Tekele, with architectural design by Yared Kebede. Additionally, two shipments of high-quality furniture were coordinated by Amha Tefera Aligas from the World Christian Relief Organization. A total of 242 desks and chairs from the first shipment and 78 from the second were delivered to Addis Alem School, with the remaining items distributed to other schools in need. This effort has significantly enhanced the learning environment and created a valuable resource for students.
